What is it?

Collagen Induction Therapy, commonly known as Microneedling, is a procedure in which a specialised machine is used to create small micro-channels in the skin. This allows for the ultra-absorption of specially selected products and stimulates the skin's repair process.

 

The Microneedling machine is a handheld device with a small circle of very tiny needles at the end. When the machine is activated, the needles move up and down in extremely quick succession. A product of choice, depending on your needs (such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and minerals), is then dripped onto the skin before being micro needled in.

 

The microneedle channels create a micro 'trauma' that stimulates the skin to begin the and repair process. During this, the skin produces collagen and elastin, helping to smooth out lines and wrinkles and tighten sagging or aging skin.

 

Although there is usually a noticeable glow immediately after the procedure, optimal results are typically seen around 4-6 weeks and further. For optimal results a block of 3 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended.
