COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY

What is it?

Collagen Induction Therapy (or Microneedling as it is more commonly known) is a procedure where by a specialist machine is used to create small micro channels into the skin, allowing ultra absorption of specially selected products, and stimulating the skins repairing process.

 

The Microneedling machine is a hand held device, that has a small circle of very tiny needles on the end. When the machine is turned on the needles begin to rise up and down in extremely quick succession. A product of choice dependent on your needs (such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamins and minerals etc) is dripped onto the skin, before being microneedled in.

 

The microneedle channels that have created a micro ‘trauma’ then stimulate the skin to start the healing and repairing process. During this process, the skin produces collagen and elastin, helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and tighten sagging or aging skin.

 

Although there is usually a noticeable glow right away, optimal results will be seen at around 4-6 weeks.
